Mission Statement
This is the beginning, a work in progress, a way I choose to share my passion for international literature. I do believe that reading is a vital tool in exploring and understanding the world around us, those lightly colored shapes on the map we point at but have never visited. It is to bring the attitudes and pains and passions of other peoples through writing to a universal audience so perhaps we can avoid hate and discover the love that lies within the words.
Because the easiest way to take a journey around the world is virtually, I have created a salon that is open to all who share an interest in participation in an exchange of opinions and ideas about literature, film, culture and perspective. I welcome you to share a bit of yourself in this international forum. Thanks for visiting and enjoy yourself in the salon.

One of the reasons I became interested in international literature is through working at bookstores. I currently am a humble bookseller at the fabulous and friendly indie, Skylight Books. One of the reasons I started working in a bookstore was because I am a writer. I am working on a novel now(send good vibes that I finish soon), Eating the Apple, as well as short stories .
